CEO and President
Rick Darter co-founded RAVE Computer Association in 1988. With more than 38 years of leadership experience in the computer industry, Mr. Darter drives the strategic direction of RAVE Computer and has been instrumental in creating business and marketing plans that result in the diversity required to maintain continued profitability and advancement.
Mr. Darter currently serves on the Board of Directors for several non-profit organizations, including Automation Alley, a technology business association that strives to advance the economic growth and image of Southeastern Michigan, he serves as Chair of the Michigan, Modeling, Simulation and Visualization committee. He serves as a Director on the Board of the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA)-Michigan Chapter, he serves as second Vice-President and is the Chair of the Chapter’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Committee.
Mr. Darter is a founding member as well as a Board Member of the RAVE CAVE at DC3S, a 3-D immersive center for automated virtual environments that promotes Modeling, Simulation and Visualization in Education and Industry. Mr. Darter serves as a Director and is on the Policy Committee of the National Modeling and Simulation Coalition based in Virginia. He also sits on the Board of DANAS Technologies, a for-profit hub-zone reseller of computer hardware.
Within the Modeling, Simulation and Visualization (MSV) community, Mr. Darter is an active force, both in Michigan and nationally, in furthering the initiative to recognize MSV as an industry, including the educational disciplines that support it.
Partner and Chief Operating Officer
At RAVE Computer, Dave Nannini is responsible for the overall management of daily purchasing, supply chain and operations. Mr. Nannini ensures that proper management of resources, distribution of goods and services to customers are completed on time and within budget. Mr. Nannini joined the company in 2003 as a Supply Chain Manager and also served as Operations Manager for RAVE in 2005. Mr. Nannini was instrumental in implementing appropriate programs to drive quality and performance in the company’s operations.
Vice President / General Manager
Sara’s leadership touches every department at RAVE, ensuring quality, communication, and continuity. Her past experience in business strategy development and execution in defense and other federal markets prove invaluable to the growth of RAVE.
Previously in her career, she was the Director of Government Markets for Pratt & Miller Engineering, Director of Defense Development for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and an Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton.
Sara was awarded the Horizon Industry Award for Business Development from the Women in Defense Michigan Chapter. She served on the Executive Board of Directors for the Robotics Technology Consortium (RTC) from 2012-2014, and helped to convert the RTC to the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC). She currently serves on the University of Michigan M-TRAC Transportation Executive Board and Oakland University’s School of Engineering and Computer Science Executive Board of Advisors.
Sara has served 16 years in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer, and currently serves in the United States Air Force Reserves at the Officer Training School in Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Sara is also certified in defense acquisition logistics and test and evaluation through the Defense Acquisition University. She has earned a BSE Cum Laude in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MBA and an MS in Global Supply Chain Management from Indiana University, and earned her Project Management Professional Certification in 2009.
Sara is married and a mother of three children. In her very limited free time, she enjoys to read.
Vice President of Sales
At RAVE Computer, Tony Scicluna is responsible for leading RAVE’s sales and business development initiatives including the development of a new business module that moved the organization’s sales from an end-user customer base to a repeat customer base (OEM, Military, and ISV). Additionally, Mr. Scicluna leads the activities of the product development team and provides the direction and guidance of the marketing staff to reach the company’s corporate sales objectives. He directly leads and drives all end-user sales activities, and supervises sales to resellers that create repeat forecastable revenue.
Vice President of Contracts and Corporate Relations
Doris Block-Tomlinson is CEO and President of Danas Technology, a value added reseller of computer hardware and a system integrator of custom computing solutions targeting the military and manufacturing markets. Doris also consults for RAVE Computer as Vice President of Contracts and Corporate Relations. In this role, she handles all contract and subcontract negotiations and ensures that Rave is strategically aligned with OEM technology partners. Doris joined RAVE Computer in 2002 as the Director of Marketing and eventually moved to the Vice President of Marketing, where she had overall responsibility for the corporation’s strategic marketing, corporate communications policies, executive communications, corporate identity programs and public relations. Additionally, she led the advertising and brand strategy for the organization. Prior to RAVE, Doris served as the U.S. Americas Marketing Manager for Sun Microsystems. In this capacity, Doris handled corporate events for the Americas including tradeshows, and various internal and external communication functions.
Director of Product Development
From dog lover to electronic circuit and software program designer, Karl Rosenberger with 30 years of computer industry experience is known for figuring out the cause and solution to technical issues that escape the other guy. He gets to the root of a client’s need by designing RAVE optimized computers for nearly any task and tackling thermal issues, acoustics/noise, unique form factor needs and other problems customers face on a daily basis. In 2009, Mr. Rosenberger led the RAVE Computer team in building a short-depth, quiet 2U image generator that won the Intel 2010 “Most Innovative Reseller Partner of the Year” in the Server/Workstation category. In his spare time, Karl enjoys playing and recording music as well as spending time with his wife Anita as they care for their fostered Siberian Huskies.
Director of Manufacturing
Known for his superior ability to remember all types of computer systems, troubleshoot and diagnose incompatibilities; Mark Witulski is RAVE’s manufacturing director building high-quality systems and never sacrificing quality of work to take the easy route. With more than 19 years of computer manufacturing experience, Mr. Witulski works as a team with other RAVE departments to consistently deliver quality systems and the best possible solution to each customer. Mr. Witulski graduated Magna Cum Laude from Walsh College and earned degrees in business management and computer information systems.
Director of Marketing
At RAVE Computer, Steve Couchman “Couch” is responsible for leading RAVE’s marketing and online initiatives including the development of new business plans. For 25 years, he has been solving marketing problems in manufacturing, retailing and B2B using a combination of advertising, direct marketing, public relations, brand, management, blogging and E-Commerce — based on market research, competitive/strategic planning, focused creative direction, forecasting and budgeting. He draws draw on experience in marketing for clients in such diverse fields as eye care, golf equipment, property management, recreational vehicles, technology and industrial textiles.
Business Unit Manager – Simulation & Training
With high praises and accolades from customers, Tony Miller leads RAVE’s Simulation & Training Business Unit, focusing on consumer fulfillment and identifying and closing opportunities for RAVE with a focus on military and OEM markets. With more than 20 years’ of computer solutions sales experience, Mr. Miller drives strategic direction of corporate vision to meet and exceed organizational and company revenue goals. On a daily basis, Mr. Miller executes segmented business plans and communicates high-level executive campaigns to unit members, while empowering staff to integrate various functions to ensure the highest quality performance-based products are delivered on time and within budget to RAVE’s customers.
Business Unit Manager – Defense
Defense Business Unit Manager Jeremy Wilking has played a key role in RAVE’s success since 1995. With more than 20 years of business development and sales experience, he choreographs an effective marketing and business development strategy for RAVE’s defense customers and executes tasks in a way that produces long-lasting relationships. Always going the extra mile for RAVE, Mr. Wilking displays his dedication even off the clock while volunteering his free time at Gleaner’s Food Bank, Clinton Township Kiwanis Food Drive and coaching youth sports.
